The main purpose of ScanSnap is to scan documents. Most of us primarily scan to PDF but there are many instances where you may want to scan an image or photograph to JPEG.* For those of us with shoe boxes of photos and images, scanning to JPEG with ScanSnap is a quick way to digitize all of those memories. Scanning to JPEG is also great for handwritten notes that you scan to your Evernote account. The Evernote application can perform Image Character Recognition (ICR) on handwritten JPEG images and make those notes searchable within your Evernote account.

To easily scan to JPEG, I suggest you create a Scan to JPEG profile that you can utilize whenever needed. Click on the links below to learn how to create a Scanning to JPEG profile for your particular ScanSnap model:
